This is Joe. Born and raised in Queens, at 94 years old and amid a pandemic, everyday Joe takes a chair to the local part to enjoy the views, the weather, the people, and the connection he has to his past. He is also a WWII veteran who was fortunate to come home and experience marriage, having a child, and enjoying three grandchildren. This Memorial Day, as we honor those who served in the US Military and never got to come back home, don’t forget to speak and thank those who are still here with us- those who have defended our rights and those who continue to do so [Photo taken 5.24.2020]
